Founded in 2016, Aster Candle was born out of the desire to create and the notion that fragrance can both enhance everyday spaces and evoke special moments in time.

Our Process

Our candles are produced with 100% soy wax from domestically grown soybeans. Why soy? It's vegan, renewable, and burns cleaner than candles made with more conventional ingredients such as paraffin.

Some candles are produced with metal-core wicks, but that's a pass for us. Our cotton-core wicks are both lead and zinc free.

We use a blend of essential and premium fragrance oils and sometimes get asked, “why not use 100% essential oils?". Essential oils are resource-intensive, and their harvesting can have a large environmental impact. The fragrance oils used in Aster candles are phthalate-free.

Our glass and tin vessels (once cleaned) can be recycled after you've burned through your candle, along with the corrugated cardboard and kraft paper in our shipping boxes.

Hi, I'm Catherine.

I dreamt up Aster in 2016, and have been hand pouring your candles ever since. Like many small business owners, I wear a lot of different hats. Graphic Designer, Product Photographer, Social Media Manager, Delivery Driver. You get the point.

Whether you've just landed on this page for the first time, or you're a devoted Aster Candle fan, I sincerely appreciate you. It's such a treat to know that our candles can help mark life's occasions both big and small.
